Yarn Dignitary Visits the Mansion

Our visitor this weekend, Beth Casey, owner of Lorna's Laces in Chicago, IL was in Billings to teach a workshop on hand dyeing yarn. Over the years, I have loved every yarn that Lorna's has sent our way...Helen's Lace, Lion and Lamb, Shepherd's Worsted Superwash and sock all send me over the moon. A few years back, Beth created a beautiful color just for Wild Purls. The greens and oranges are truly beautiful and make me smile, every time I see someone wander in with something knit in this colorway.

I have had the good fortune of working with Beth and asked if she would ever consider visiting our shop. Guess what, Beth recently said she'd love to come to Billings and the best part, she brought along her husband, Michael. The weekend began with a visit to the Moss Mansion for our Friday afternoon celebration of community knitters. We enjoyed knitting in the conservatory

I can't help but think about the game, Clue...Professor Plum with the knitting needle in the Conservatory fits well in the Moss. P B Moss looked down upon all of us with a hint of a smile.

Beth and Michael were troopers.

They met the knitters and kept everyone smiling and talking for hours.

We finally had to close up the Mansion to get Beth home to rest up for her big day on Saturday.

The Moss Mansion was such a lovely setting for us! Okay, it was a bit chilly, as you can see from the jackets everyone is wearing . . .
