If you are thinking that we at Wild Purls have been doing our fair share of drinking (at Friday's Happy Hour maybe?) sorry to report - at least for me - there has been none of that type of shenanigans going on around here! I'm really talking about a scarf pattern called "Drunken Path". I've been working - I mean, knitting, (knitting is NEVER work!) on a scarf for a certain female relative using this pattern. There is a chart to follow which, realistically, isn't hard, but there are times when I felt like I left the "path" and my head started spinning. I'm a relatively new chart-reader, (I recently got bi-focals)
I chose a luscious Ella Rae Merino Lace of purples and magentas, and it's creating a beautiful path of drunken lusciousness.
.

I'm not the only one following this drunken path! Irene started her scarf at the urging of Julia

Her yarn choices are totally different - A Ty-Dy sock yarn plus a strand of Kid Seta Mohair. I love the depth the mohair gives to the sock yarn, and widens the scarf a bit. Definitely a cold weather accessory. Mine - not so heavy or wide, is perfect for Seattle winters.
