Last week, Rhonda from California, called us. It turned out, her best friend, Paddie, had moved recently to Glendive. Paddie was sick and had recently been transferred to Billings for her healthcare. Rhonda knew Paddie was an avid knitter and wasn't able to bring her knitting with her. And she couldn't imagine how Paddie was going to get through her hospital visit reading People magazine and watching Regis and Kelly.(Although, personally, I love Regis and Kelly) She called Wild Purls to save her friend from boredom and so we were called upon to put together a special gift using a variety of yarns. Paddie loves to knit scarves, mixing different strands of colorful textured fibers. And she likes bright colors - orange, pinks and greens. We fulfilled her knitting wishes with Mountain Colors River Twist, Kid Seta Mohair, Ella Rae Latte, Farmhouse Lumpy Bumpy. A beautiful collection of vibrant colors and textures. We topped it off with whimsical needles from Serendipity - hand turned and decorated by an artisan in Rhode Island.
Dear Paddie - We can't wait to see you and your scarves! Get well soon! - Your new friends at Wild Purls.
