Come join the fun in our 3 week class where you will learn to knit and take it to the next level.  You’ll learn to cast on, bind off,  knit, purl, read a pattern and a chart, as well as make a project that you can finish in 3 weeks.  Bring a friend and learn the “how to” of the world of knitting.  We can have you knitting with a smile and some confidence!  You will receive a gift at your last class which will have you ready to knit a beautiful project.

Summer and sock knitting are the perfect combination.  The first class will start with a top down cast on and working the rib.  Class two is the heel turn.  Class three will finish at the toe with the Kitchener stitch and class four is potluck, really potluck.  Bring food to share and loads of questions to share as well.  You are welcome to come to only one class or the entire series.

This class is for any "kid" who expresses interest in knitting.  It will be taught by Connie (a grown up) and Aly Nance (a kid).  Aly is a proficient knitter, crocheter and felter and Connie works hard to keep up with her.  Choose a beautiful skein of yarn and this dynamic duo will help with the rest.  A great boredom buster this summer!  We recommend 7 year olds and up.

Here is a new twist on the summer market bag.  The base and lower sides are purl brioche stitch which flow into a dense lace that creates a favric that stretches but retains strength.  Top off the bag with purl brioche again and head to the farmers market KIP (Knit in Public) ready to receive compliments on your market bag.  You will learn to Brk 1!

Class Policy

Our instructors spend time preparing for their classes.  For this reason we can only hold your spot with full payment.  If you are unable to attend a class you may receive the materials and handouts prepared for you.  All classes require a minimum registration, usually 3 people and so unfortunately may be cancelled if the minimum is not met.  Due to limited space there is also a maximum registration, usually 8 people.  Register early to ensure your spot.  When registering, please ask for a supply list and additional materials information sheet.    We can refund the full amount if your spot is filled prior to the first class
