Knitting on the Road, part 3

It had to happen......lots of rain yesterday as we drove into the Chicago area...and I do mean lots! Got to brother-in-law's just fine in a hard rain with a considerable lower temp. Phooey...guess the great weather had to end sometime. I write you from outside Chicago, visiting brother-in-law, sister-in-law and nieces and nephews and baby Lucas, grand nephew. We'll all be having dinner together tonight, after a glass of wine at my niece's house. Plenty of time for me to hug that cute Lucas and present him with a little handknit baby hat out of Cleckheaton, of course! Can't wait. My knitting yesterday consisted of working on finishing my sock out of Pagewood thru Tennesee and Kentucky but as we got close to Chicago, traffic required that I navigate while Joe drove. After a few harrowing turns, we were there! Knitting w/3 dp's was not an option going through highway construction and moving from one interstate to another....you get the picture, don't you? It all reminds me why I love living in Montana!! Off to LaCrosse, WI tomorrow. Good friends there to visit for 2 nights. I'm sure I'll have stories...... Cheers.
