We have been quiet these past few days but not due to lack of exciting news. Actually, we will be writing on a much more regular basis in the future. Really, don't give up on us yet, we've only just begun. Wasn't that a song from the 70's?
New yarn arrivals have tied our hands to stickers and such. When a new yarn arrives at Wild Purls we start a process that can be best described as "detailed" and since the three of us would rather deal with details in our knitting, it takes a bit of time to check in our big orders.
Have you worked with Suzanne's favorite...Cleckheaton? It is a beautiful DK weight superwash wool. If you've received a baby gift from Suzanne, I can almost guarantee that it has been knit with Cleakheaton Country 8-ply. She loves the stuff and we have just expanded the color selection to make her happy.
Linda, on the other hand, and it's true, Suzanne is my right hand and Linda, my left, well Linda loves Lorna's Laces. She begged me to try their Shepherds Worsted which is a lucious superwash wool in those incomparable Lorna's colors. This girl has more fun with color in her knitting. If she doesn't show up to work some day, I will call Lorna's and ask if they have any new employees!
And that's not all folks....we have not mentioned the knit along. This summer we are knitting up washclothes from the pattern of our adorable Kim (who continues to amaze us with all the submissions for patterns). Join the fun and don't forget that if you purchase her washcloth pattern in the month of June, you receive a beautiful bar of soap. Won't it be nice to wrap up your soap, hand knit wash cloth and give a gift when you are in need! Or if you reside at my house, you quickly use the soap because you haven't been to the store in months and soap is in short supply.
P S - Linda and I will be traveling to Yarn Market next week. Don't give Suzanne any ideas. She keeps mentioning Jimmy Buffett, loads of free time and chilled Chardonnay. Should I be worried?
