It's the time of year now when football season is at the fore front of eveyone's mind. Whether it's the Broncs, the Bears, or the Rams (or a high-five to my hometeam, the Eagles) or your favorite NFL team - everyone's gotta have a warm hat to keep the head toasty when they sitting on the freezing cold bleachers. I discovered this hat pattern via some knitter friends and I swear I knit a half dozen of them the first year. Guy and girls alike love them and since then, I've probably knit another 3 or 4 every fall.

Here are 10 reasons to knit this hat:
1) It's a free pattern on the Cascade website.
2) It uses a great yarn - Cascade Pastaza. (available at Wild Purls)
3) You have a choice between an easy and not-quite-so-easy version.
4) It has a cool 2-color cast-on.
5) It's good pattern to learn stranding.
6) It's a good pattern to learn to read charts.
7) Choose from lots of team colors.

8) You can't possibly miss on this gift!
9) Who ever you give this to will think you are amazing!
10) You will think you are amazing!
