Sometimes knitters don't always knit. . . . . . Sometimes we like to have fun (I mean a different kind of fun) . . . . Sometimes we like to support a good cause. And sometimes we combine those two things - fun and worthy causes.
Recently, the YWCA hosted a brand new event called the "Purse A Palooza". Purse A Palooza? A fundraiser combined with purses - are they kidding - No Brainer! If purses are involved, it's like "If you build it, they will come." And we did! When I realized the event was teaming with knitters, I went picture crazy because as a good knit blogger, I always have my camera at the ready.
Here are just a few of the knitters that love purses!
Our own Sue Baker, also a YWCA Board member . . . .
Happy to be out . . . without the kids!
Deb Agnew lookin' awesome . . .
Love the necklace, Deb!
Kate Morris . . . .
and her crazy yellow specs!
Mona Stevens bonding with her daughter . . .
I think they are having too much fun!
Erin - She is a Program Manager at the YWCA . . .
Psst . .. She's pregnant ! Exciting! Wonder what she'll be knitting?
Linda Hauptman . . . .
Looking quite exquisite, I think.
Sue, again, with Pam . . .
Pam had two handmade bags in the auction!
Linda, Sue and Sue's Mother, Carol . . . .
Anxiously waiting the outcome of the raffle items.
We didn't win. Waah.
(Oops! Forgot to take pictures of the purses!)
