This weekend was the big move. The good news is we did it! Everything from the Broadwater store was moved to 1206 24th Street West. Friday afternoon, we were still knitting around the table, although you may notice this isn't the table you've come to know at Wild Purls but that didn't stop the knitters. The sale continued until 5:30pm with the last customer leaving while volunteers began packing up the buckets. And the bucket brigade loaded up bags and bags of yarn in record time. It was a major job with the best darn group of volunteers on the planet, no the galaxy! No better volunteers could have ever been found. And that was just Friday night.
Early Saturday, the Freyenhagen crew arrived to take the buckets to the 24th Street shop. And once they took them down, the walls were bare. It was official...Wild Purls was ready to open our new home of yarn and wonders. So the drive with a trailer full was complete and the buckets were hung on our new walls.
Our job all day Saturday and Sunday was to fill up the buckets in time for opening on Monday, April 18th at noon. There's so much to show you. Hurry in to see for yourself or if your not in Billings, no worries, we will continue to show photos of the move. For now, I'm off to bed to get ready for tomorrow.
