If you see groups of people with needles gathering together, know that it is not a revolution but rather WWKIP- World Wide Knit In Public day. Our good friends, Jennifer and Mary Drew, two lovely librarians from the Parmly Billings Library sponsored a knit-in today. And when you get the word out that knitters can gather, they do just that.
Everyone came prepared with needles, projects and a willingness to share. Judy Guenther assisted the newest knitter in the crowd with words of encouragement and a few tips.
From time to time things can get a bit tangled but even knots become fun when a group gathers.
Knitters, designers and onlookers made the afternoon a huge success. WWKIP was an event not to be missed.

The oddest thing happened when I left. Parked next to me was a truck with these beautiful spindles of what looked like electrical cord. All I could think about is, "How could I knit that?" Imagine the color combinations you could create from these.
It makes me think that next time our plans could become industrial. Any takers?
